A water jet in engineering
Kadlček, František ; Chladil, Josef (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the principle of the abrasive jet and describes the devices needed to create it. The thesis presents an analysis of technological parameters and their impact on the quality of the cut. Subsequently, this thesis deals with an experiment, which consists in the design of technology for a sample component, followed by evaluation of surface quality and the economic evaluation.

Study of quality of nine aluminium alloys surfaces created using abrasive waterjet
Klichová, Dagmar ; Klich, Jiří ; Gurková, Lucie
The article focuses on the normalized method of measurement and evaluation of a surface texture created using the abrasive waterjet. It detects selected amplitude parameters of a roughness profile providing a form of a quantified description of properties of a surface topography. It studies the change in quality of machined surfaces created by the abrasive waterjet in nine selected materials of aluminium alloys when changing the traverse speed. Studied samples were measured by an optical profilometer MicroProf FRT and further analyzed with the SPIP software.
Use of abrasive waterjet for measuring residual stress in railway wheels
Horsák, L. ; Hlaváček, Petr
This paper provides a general introduction to methods of measuring of residual stresses. There are described destructive, semidestructive and nondestructive methods for residual stress measuring. Experimental section is devoted to residual stress measuring in the railway wheel. To detect residual stress destructive cutting method was applied using abrasive waterjet.
Methods of measurement and analysis of surface topography created by hydroabrasive waterjet
Valíček, Jan ; Hlaváček, Petr ; Klich, Jiří ; Hloch, S.
The paper deals with measurement of surfaces created by abrasive waterjet by contact and non-contact methods. Based on performed analysis and interpretation of obtained data from the surface topography created by abrasive waterjet, the methodology for assessing the surface quality is proposed. Subsequently, the main geometrical parameters of surface irregularities and their relationship with topographic feature are defined.
